Every extra minute counts

This morning I awoke early enough to watch my alarm go off, so I did the usual morning thing, shower, shave and I got ready for work. My beautiful wife need to get ready also, so I kissed her and was ready to head out the door. I then heard our daughter start to talk through the baby monitor, so I went in and sat on her big girl bed with her while she talked about her toes. We watched blue's clues and waited for mommy to be done with her morning routine. I was really close to being late for work, but it would have been worth it for the few extra minutes I got to spend with her today. I got hugs, and all the enjoyment of being a dad by spending that time with her. although she usually asks for her mommy, I know she loves me, and I know she knows I love her.
